Wow, what a way to launch our new store, Prairie in Bloom Marketplace, in Omaha!
Our opening on January 30 was a spectacular success, and we can’t say enough about the support we’ve received from Omaha residents and our retail neighbors in this vibrant, up-and-coming North Downtown neighborhood.

Shopping doesn’t have to be complicated. We make it easy with in-store interior designers who share their expertise and offer personal assistance, so you can find the perfect statement pieces, florals, and candles for your home.
Our historic building & neighborhood
When we learned about the availability of the historic J.F. Bloom & Co. building at 1702 Cuming Street, we knew it was the perfect location for our business.
The history of the Bloom building, built in 1910, mixed with the vibrancy of the North Downtown neighborhood provided us with the perfect site to showcase Prairie in Bloom’s mix of old and new.
We enjoyed renovating the space, and we were careful to keep the essence of the original design intact – large windows, clear lines, red brick and stone accents – while offering a bright, fresh atmosphere for shoppers.
We’re excited to be part of the North Downtown scene, where you can enjoy the day shopping at boutiques like ours, get a great cup of coffee, see a documentary, or listen to your favorite indie rock band. We’re also just two blocks from TD Ameritrade Park, so there’s plenty to do here!
Kicking off the season with spring greens
We don’t know about you, but we’re ready to say, “Goodbye, Winter. Hello, Spring!”
While the temperatures are still a bit frigid, we want you to be ready for the new season. So, we’re kicking if off with a variety of our everyday greens and florals that will allow you to can enjoy a fresh look throughout a room or your whole house.
